- The Conjuring -

Comments:

I first started this image last year, in a conscious attempt to emulate the style of Kennect, whose erotic Black Men, Red Balls series has attracted a cult following on the Web! Call this 'Blue Demons, Gold Balls!'...

Of course, I soon found that I was going about it the wrong way; but this image stuck with me nonetheless. Something about it felt 'incomplete', but I couldn't put my finger on it, so I put it aside for a while, and came back to it recently...

The original image features only the blue people/demons, and I had given the central character (The 'DemonLord') some gargoyle wings which were never quite convincing. The horns (a Bryce multi-replication) were nice, but the image lacked a focus - the blue 'minions' were looking at the DemonLord, but what was he looking at?

When I looked at the image again, I decided to replace the gargoyle wings with wings from Zygote's dragon model, and it made all the difference to the DemonLord. Still, there was something missing, and I finally came up with the answer - a sorcerous circle containing conjured denizens of yet another plane.

I'm much happier with it now; especially as the warty, toady gremlin visitors contrast with the solid colours and smooth textures of the DemonRealm!
