- Out of the Morning Mists -

Comments:

After several parching days and chilly nights crossing the desert wastes, he thought he saw the glint of water in the moonlight, off to his right. If it had been daytime, he would have dismissed it as a mirage, but what type of mirage is seen at night? He altered his course, and eventually was rewarded, falling to his knees near a rivulet of cool clean water. It felt so wonderful in his mouth! Exhausted, he allowed himself to snatch just a few minutes of sleep, now that his all-consuming thirst had been slaked.

He awoke just as the sun was painting the sky. A cool refreshing mist was rising off the waters. He luxuriated in the humid air, then leapt catlike to his feet at a heavy footstep behind him. He instinctively gripped his blade more tightly as he beheld the ugliest beast he had ever seen - and his jaw dropped as he raised his eyes to the beautiful young woman who sat astride the monstrosity, assessing him and his blade with a level stare...

"Stalemate?" she asked, wryly... "I think not..."

Another fantasy image featuring my 'trendy-coiffed' barbarian heroine!

Her trusty steed is 'Egwa,' one of the many weird creatures designed by 'Davo', and available for sale at the Renderosity store! I played with his texture to make him a little more varied.

I've modified the standard Poser Woman's texture to make her look a little more tanned - after all, the standard version looks like she's never seen the sun in her life! Appropriate, perhaps, for the well-informed woman of the New Millennium - but hardly so for a barbarian swordsperson from the Dawn of Time!
