A pod of Ophthalmosaurus browse through the shallows of what would eventually become Western Europe. One forages in the sandy bottom while another chases a school of fish; yet another rises to the surface for a breath. All, however, remain aware of their surroundings - while a nearby Muraenosaurus poses no threat beyond, perhaps, stealing their lunch, his huge relative Liopleurodon also patrols close by - and would no doubt seize any opportunity to add ichthyosaur flesh to his menu...

Back to another scene featuring my home-made ichthyosaur, which I have refined a little further, with an improved set of texture maps, and re-edited joint parameters (in layman's terms, the joints now bend the way they are supposed to!)

For this render, I used Vue d'Esprit as my composition and rendering application. As I had hoped, my model imported from Poser into Vue without problems, with all its textures intact. ...
