In the Late Cretaceous of Asia, a pair of Velociraptor adults hunts for food.
Those whose knowledge of paleontology is most greatly influenced by Steven Spielberg may be disappointed to learn that the dreaded Velociraptor was actually only the size of a mid-sized dog! While its relatives may have achieved somewhat greater size (e.g. Utahraptor was about the size of the terrors of Jurassic Park), most of the raptor kin never attained anything near that size. Of course, it's becoming increasingly likely that most of the Velociraptor-sized predator dinosaurs were covered in insulating feathers, like their close relatives, the early birds. This amazingly-detailed model caught my eye some time ago, and just recently, I gave in to the temptation to buy it! So far, I have not been disappointed...
