The Bryce List Challenge for May 2005 is an underwater scene, contrasting with the use of the sky in last month's theme.

I decided to keep the 'Dance' theme... a mermaid and her friend? pet? companion? in a warm shallow sea

I thought a long time before posting this - it turned out much as I had envisioned, but simply isn't as strong a scene as I had thought it would be... Ultimately, not one of my favourite creations - but if it spurs someone else to do something better with the idea, so much the better...

(...and, as for my recent 'big project'... hmmm, what's that in the background?)
