- Alien Bounty Hunter -

Comments:

While I was busy with the recent client project, I had very little time for other projects; but there has been so much interesting Poser content issued lately that I've been itching to get a chance to play with some of it...

This image is different from most of my work. For one thing, it's composed and rendered entirely within Poser, rather than in Bryce or Vue, my usual staging and composition tools. For another, it's fairly 'static' whereas I usually try to show some sort of 'action' in my characters.

What can I say? I was just playing with the kewl 'Universal Alien Pack' of morphs for the Michael 3 figure from DAZ. I played with the figure over the course of a few weeks, whenever I had a few minutes to spare. Next, I added some of my original horns, which have been sold to DAZ, but which have not yet been released to the store...

Then, I needed to dress the guy, so I added some clothing from various RDNA outfits, morphed to fit if Michael 3 was not the original wearer of the clothes. And a Big Honkin' Gun, to make him look even more threatening (as if he needed it!) Oh, and boots...

I still hadn't thought about posting the image. Then, I was intrigued to play with some of the new 'set' props available at DAZ, and I started to like what I was seeing! I also liked the play of light and shadow I was creating, partly by design, partly by way of interaction with the set props themselves... so I decided to keep the work within Poser, rather than try to replicate the lighting in Bryce or Vue

But the image was far too static to maintain any interest. As a compromise, I decided to add a few additional mysterious critters lurking around in the ample shadows...

So there you have it! From a 3D 'doodle' to an image
