"She knew she deserved better than this - singing her heart out, spilling her emotions for a room full of drunken louts. All she needed was that one break, and she knew she could be the next Celine, the next Mariah, the next Amanda... but her manager kept booking her into these smoke-filled halls, where people barely listened, and those that did wouldn't remember her the next morning.
"She stepped gingerly over the stains on the stage, trying not to think about what they implied about the other acts booked in here, as she raised her voice for the big finish of her ballad.
"As her voice faded away, scattered applause sounded out from dark pockets of the room. The rest of the occupants gazed dully up at her. She sighed, and thought sardonically of all the horrible ways her manager could meet with an 'accident'..."
Another experiment in realism, down to the individual beer glasses, and the ring stains on the bar tables. Unfortunately, compressing the file to a jpg dropped some of the details, e.g. smudges on the mirror behind the singer are no longer as visible...
Gotta love Poser 4, with its clothing options! As expected, the integration between Poser and Bryce is ever tighter (not perfect yet, though!)...
Updated 2001.09 - When I first posted this image, someone offered the critique that the audience members all looked the same. With the plethora of new characters that have sprung up in the two years since then, it seemed appropriate to revisit the image, and populate it with a slightly more diverse crowd.
