This image was made in a couple of hours using only Bryce 5 and Poser 4.
When the first 'Release Candidate' of Bryce 5 was shipped to beta-testers, Corel gave us permission to post images made with that version for public viewing. Since I live relatively close to Corel, I was among the first to receive my shipment. I sat down and assembled this image right away, publishing it that same day. It was the first such image posted to the beta-testers' list, and I therefore feel confident in claiming it was the first Bryce 5 image legally posted in public, by someone other than Corel themselves!
One of Corel's restrictions on these posted images was that we could not discuss or reveal how we had made them, so at the time, I couldn't discuss the fact that this image made use of Bryce 5's new trees, depth-of-field premium rendering ability, and a new sky preset - folks had to read between the lines and draw their own conclusions.
But now you know! ;-)
