Captain Mike, the Galactic Hero, poses for a photo opportunity with his trusty crew, after saving the known universe yet again...
The image was inspired by a 'heroic' pose I had used for Zygote's Michael model in preparation for another image. I had already costumed the Poser Woman in kitschy sci-fi garb (see the "Worse than Cockroaches" image), so she was already prepared to be a sidekick/companion for Captain Mike, although I found a much better head of hair for her (Thanks, Anton K)! My green alien character had also been used in a couple of recent images, and seemed a fitting crewmember. And, what 50's sci-fi crew was complete without a humanoid robot?
In fact, I had so much fun putting this image together that I decided ALSO to make up a book cover based on the image! Take a look at it below...
