Based on (and incorporating as the sky) a recent image released by NASA, from the recent flyby of Jupiter by the Cassini probe on its way out to rendezvous with Saturn.
Set on the mysterious moon Europa, the image shows the moon Io as it passes between Europa and the massive bulk of Jupiter itself. Both Io and Europa are approximately the same size as Earth's moon, Luna - yet as Io passes Europa in its orbit, the two moons pass substantially closer to each other than Luna ever gets to Earth! The violently volcanic Io must wax huge in Europa's sky - yet even it is dwarfed by the presence of their primary, Jupiter, filling the sky from horizon to horizon!
Europa is currently one of the most intriguing mysteries in the Solar System - covered in what appears to be a kilometers-thick mantle of ordinary water ice, it is almost a certainty that there is a liquid water ocean beneath the ice! And where there is water, and likely organic compounds - the very real possibility of life!
This image depicts some imaginary day in the future when Europa's ice melts, exposing its watery oceans to human visitors from the inner Solar System. The flying ships will be familiar from other images.
