The fine folks at DAZ 3D, purveyors of Poser paraphernalia to the People, held another contest in the summer of 2002, in honour of Stephanie, their latest figure in the 'Millennium' family... This was my only entry. It didn't win, didn't get an honourable mention, and this time, they didn't include a gallery of 'honourable not-mentioned' (!!!) so I don't know how my image compares to the competition...
So here it is! For those who are familiar with the ground-breaking CG TV show 'ReBoot', here is the grown-up version of the GameSprite AndrAIa, best friend of little Enzo Matrix, and his constant companion as he ventured out of Mainframe to the web, in search of the Guardian Bob. In the background, you can see Dot Matrix, Enzo's older sister, and leader of the Mainframe Defense Forces during Bob's exile... and of course, one of the local binome characters... Like my Nemesis figure of a couple of months ago, AndrAIa herself is a compound figure, using aspects of several different packages available for the Victoria and Stephanie models, with customized mapping and texturing to recreate AndrAIa's clothing. The hoverdiscs, AndrAIa's trident and spines, and most of her hair pieces, were created in Bryce and Carrara. So was the binome guy... Interestingly, the toughest part of the project was taking the relatively realistic Stephanie figure, and 'stylizing' aspects of her appearance, to recreate the look of the ReBoot show.
