This is a study of a work-in-progress; Dash Rendar's Outrider from the Star Wars® novel and computer game Shadows of the Empire. I've always liked the ship but couldn't find a model anywhere, so I decided to accept the challenge and build it from scratch. It's taken me a long time, working on and off, and it's still not finished. Wouldn't you know it though, there's now one available from the Star Wars Modelling Alliance. Maybe it's sour grapes, but after looking at theirs (only the thumbnail, I must admit), I still like mine better!
Outrider is a modified Corellian Engineering Corporation YT-2400 Freighter, converted by Dash Rendar for smuggling operations, much as its famous shipyard-mate, a CEC YT-1300 Transport known as the Millenium Falcon (perhaps you've heard of it?). Those Corellians built 'em tough!
